What is FUE?

With the FUE method (Follicular Unit Extraction), individual hair follicles are extracted from the donor area – usually the back of the head – and placed in bald or thinning areas. At Haarwelt Klinik every FUE treatment is planned individually in order to use the donor area in a targeted way and to create a harmonious, natural hairline.

Is FUE treatment painful?

The treatment is carried out under local anaesthesia. Most patients find it very tolerable.

When will I see the result?

New hairs usually start to grow after a few months. The final result is usually visible after about 12 months.

How many grafts do I need?

That depends on your hair situation and is determined individually in the personal analysis.

Will scars be visible?

The FUE method does not leave a linear scar. The small extraction sites usually heal inconspicuously.

Do I have to shave my hair?

That depends on the planned treatment and will be discussed with you during the consultation.
